Find the Color on Quizebra

Find the Color round 1: the flag of Nigeria with its green bands recoloured purple, the name Nigeria, a hue slider and a Lock In button

Find the Color is a daily flag colour game on Quizebra. Each of the day's five named flags has one colour swapped for a decoy; you drag a hue slider until the flag looks right, and score by how close you land on the colour wheel.

About Find the Color (Quizebra)

Find the Color is one of Quizebra's free daily challenges, built on the same 196 flags as its Name the Flag. The country's name is shown, so you never guess which flag it is: one of its colours, never black or white, has been replaced, and a hue slider sits underneath.

As you drag, that part of the flag recolours live, so you judge the whole flag rather than two swatches. Only the hue moves; saturation and lightness are already right. Landing on the true hue scores 100%, ninety degrees out scores 50% and the opposite colour scores 0%, and the day's score is the average of five rounds. The slider always starts near the opposite of the true hue, so an untouched flag looks plainly wrong.

Rounds run from easy to hard tiers on a 39-day cycle, the same for everyone each day. It is free, with no account and no ads, and extra sets stay open after the daily.

It suits players of colour-matching dailies who also like flags, and flag fans who want to test how well they remember the exact shades.

How to play Find the Color (Quizebra)

  1. Open Find the Color and press Start Playing.
  2. Read the country's name and look at the flag with one colour wrong.
  3. Drag the hue slider until that part of the flag looks right.
  4. Press Lock In to see the real flag beside yours and your match percentage.
  5. Play all five flags; your score is the average, shown on the daily leaderboard.

Tips

  • Never lock in on the starting shade: it begins near the opposite hue.
  • Pure red is about a fifth of the way in from the left of the slider, not at either end.
  • Get the colour family right first; inside it, each degree is worth only about half a point.
