Chroma
Mix three shades in the right proportions to match the day's colour.
Every day: One target colour a day, the same for everyone: mix three shades in the right proportions to match it within six tries. New puzzle: Midnight US Eastern Time.

Chroma is a daily colour mixing puzzle. You pick colours and set their proportions in 5 percent steps, and each try shows how close your mix lands to the hidden target colour. Get within 95 percent within six tries to solve it; a Hard mode adds a fourth colour.
About Chroma
Chroma gives you a target colour and a set of shades to mix. You choose colours and adjust their proportions with plus and minus buttons in 5 percent steps until the weights add up to 100, then submit. Each row of your history shows a percentage: how close your mix landed to the target, with 100 a perfect match.
There is no single right recipe, and the order of colours does not matter: any mix within 95 percent of the target counts as a solve, and you have six tries. Hard mode, switched on with the gear icon, gives you four colours to balance instead of three for the same target, and both modes count toward one streak.
Chroma is one of the daily games on Greatest Games, a site of word and logic puzzles. A new puzzle goes up every day at midnight US Eastern, the same for everyone, and it plays free in the browser with no account or download. A free account opens the Chroma archive of every past puzzle by date.
How to play Chroma
- Open Chroma on greatest.games and look at the target colour.
- Pick colours and set their proportions in 5 percent steps until they total 100.
- Submit the mix and read how close it landed, as a percentage.
- Adjust the proportions and try again, up to six times.
- Reach 95 percent or better to solve the day.
Tips
- Get the main colour family right first, then fine-tune the smaller amounts.
- Change one proportion at a time so you can see what each step does.
- A mix that is too dark or too light usually needs a shift in the lightest or darkest shade.
- Try Hard mode once Easy feels routine.
