ColorGradle daily page with the day's photo shown as Your Grade and Target and a 60 second timer

ColorGradle is a daily colour grading game. Each day has one numbered photo shown twice, your version and a graded target, and you have 60 seconds to move the grading sliders until your copy looks as close as possible to the target.

About ColorGradle

ColorGradle turns photo colour grading into a short daily challenge. Every day one photo is scheduled for that date, numbered from ColorGradle #1 on 17 May 2026, with the photographer credited on the page.

The screen shows two copies of the photo side by side: Your Grade and Target. When you press Start the clock you get 60 seconds to adjust the grading sliders so that your copy matches the target's look, and the game scores how close you came. Everyone gets the same photo and target on the same date.

Past days are kept in an archive and can be replayed. Signing in is optional and keeps your stats; without an account your play is still recorded anonymously for the day.

It suits photographers, video editors and anyone with an eye for colour who wants a one-minute test of it each day.

How to play ColorGradle

  1. Look at the Target photo and compare it with your ungraded copy.
  2. Press Start the clock to begin the 60 second timer.
  3. Move the colour grading sliders until your copy matches the target as closely as you can.
  4. Read your score when time runs out, then try past days in the archive.

Tips

  • Judge overall brightness and contrast first, then colour temperature and tint.
  • Compare neutral areas such as whites, greys and shadows; colour casts show there first.
  • Make large moves early and fine adjustments in the last seconds.
  • Practise on archive days to learn how each slider changes the picture.
