Coloruno is a free colour memory game. You see five colours one after another, then recreate each with hue, saturation and brightness sliders; the daily puzzle gives everyone the same five, with a leaderboard.

About Coloruno

Coloruno is a free browser game about how hard it is to remember a colour exactly. Each round shows you a colour for a moment; once it disappears you rebuild it with sliders for hue, saturation and brightness. A perceptual colour difference model compares your guess with the target and turns the gap into a score out of 10, for a total out of 50 across five colours.

The Play Daily mode gives every player the same five colours for the day, so you can compare scores with friends and on a daily leaderboard. You play as a guest with a display name saved in your browser; no account is needed.

Besides the daily there is a solo mode, multiplayer challenge links, and themed modes where you recreate the colours of cartoon characters, country flags or brand logos from memory. The site describes itself as an independent fan-made game.

It suits anyone who likes quick perception tests, and designers who want to check their eye.

How to play Coloruno

  1. Open coloruno.io and choose Play Daily.
  2. Watch each colour while it is on screen, noting its shade and brightness.
  3. When it disappears, recreate it with the hue, saturation and brightness sliders.
  4. Finish all five for a score out of 50 and compare it on the daily leaderboard.

Tips

  • Name the colour in your head (brick red, sea green): words are easier to remember than shades.
  • Set the hue first, then brightness, then saturation.
  • Screens differ, so play on the same device if you want to compare days.
