Name the Flag on Quizebra

Name the Flag round 1 of 5: a zoomed-in flag with black, gold and green bands, a timer bar at 15.4 seconds and four country options

Name the Flag is a daily flag quiz on Quizebra. Each of the day's five flags starts zoomed in nine times and pulls back over twenty seconds; you pick its country from four look-alike options, and your score is your total time.

About Name the Flag (Quizebra)

Name the Flag is one of Quizebra's free daily geography challenges. Every day brings the same five flags for everyone, running from an easy tier to a hard one. Each opens on a close-up of a corner, a stripe or part of an emblem and shrinks back to full size over twenty seconds.

You answer by tapping one of four countries. The three wrong options are chosen by hand to look alike or sit in the same region, so Ireland comes with Côte d'Ivoire, Italy and France. A wrong pick jumps the clock forward ten seconds, which also zooms the flag out further, and an unsolved round counts twenty seconds. Your score is the total time for the five, so the best days are a few seconds and the worst is one hundred.

The pool is 196 flags: the UN members plus Kosovo, Palestine, Taiwan and Vatican City, leaving out Nepal's non-rectangular flag. No flag repeats within a 39-day cycle. It is free, with no account and no ads, and extra practice sets stay open after the daily.

It suits flag fans who want a short timed round rather than a guess-limited puzzle like Flagle.

How to play Name the Flag (Quizebra)

  1. Open Name the Flag and press Start Playing.
  2. Watch the zoomed-in flag shrink back over twenty seconds.

  4. A wrong pick costs ten seconds; an unsolved flag counts twenty.
  5. Finish all five flags and compare your total time on the daily leaderboard.

Tips

  • Read the four names first: they tell you which family of flags you are looking at.
  • Look for the one detail that separates look-alikes, such as which side the orange stripe is on for Ireland and Côte d'Ivoire.
  • Do not guess on a hunch early: a miss costs half the round's time.
