Atlas question on mindloftdaily.com: which capital city is home to the Prado Museum, with Madrid, Barcelona, Lisbon and Seville as options

Atlas is a free daily geography quiz from Mind Loft. Twenty-five multiple-choice questions run from easy to expert, cycling through capitals, physical geography, flags and borders, landmarks, and countries and peoples, and one wrong answer ends your run.

About Atlas (Mind Loft)

Atlas is a sudden-death geography quiz. Each day brings twenty-five multiple-choice questions with four options each, arranged in five rounds of five that climb from questions most people know to ones very few do. You have twenty seconds per question, and the first miss, or an empty clock, ends the run.

Every round cycles the same five subjects: capital cities, the physical world, flags and borders, places and landmarks, and countries and peoples. A good score needs some knowledge of all five rather than one specialty, and since everything you clear is banked, each new question is a choice between the risk of a miss and the points you already hold.

Everyone plays the same questions in the same order, so the leaderboard is simple: the longest run wins and ties break on time. Atlas runs on the same format as Mind Loft's Biz and Sport quizzes, and sits beside its other geography dailies, Flank, Span and Ping.

How to play Atlas (Mind Loft)

  1. Open Atlas and press Start; the clock starts with the first question.
  2. Read the question and pick one of the four answers within 20 seconds.
  3. Each correct answer adds a point and moves you up toward the expert rounds.
  4. A wrong answer or a timeout ends the run; your score is how many you cleared in a row.

Tips

  • Do not rush the early gimmes: one slip on question three costs as much as a slip on question twenty-four.
  • Flags and borders questions often turn on neighbours, so picture the map around the country.
  • Keys or quick taps help on the later rounds, where reading the four options takes most of the twenty seconds.
