AirlineQ Day 211, Oct 5, 2026: the first clue Allegiant Air with 3 flights, four locked clue rows and an airport search box

AirlineQ starts with one airline that flies from a mystery airport and asks you to name the airport. Each wrong guess unlocks another airline or a frequency hint, and shows how far and in which direction the answer lies. There is a US puzzle and a World puzzle every day, five guesses each.

About AirlineQ (FlightQ)

AirlineQ is a FlightQ daily where the answer is an airport rather than a flight. The first clue is a marquee airline that operates there, with the number of flights: sometimes that settles it, like Singapore Airlines or Emirates, sometimes it is wide open, like Allegiant Air or United at a US hub.

You type a city, country, IATA or ICAO code, and the search covers every commercial airport in the world. A wrong guess shows the distance and compass direction to the answer and unlocks the next of five clue rows, so a guess of Dubai that comes back several hundred kilometres north-west points you to Doha. Most regular players land it in three or four.

Two modes go live every day: US, drawn from American hubs such as JFK, ATL, ORD and SEA and dozens more, and World, from gateways such as LHR, CDG, DXB, HND and GRU. Each has its own streak. The game is free with ads in the browser and in the FlightQ apps, and premium removes the ads.

How to play AirlineQ (FlightQ)

  1. Open AirlineQ on flightq.app and pick US or World.
  2. Read the first clue: an airline that flies from the mystery airport, with its flight count.
  3. Guess an airport by city, country, IATA or ICAO code.
  4. After a miss, use the distance, the direction and the next airline that unlocks.
  5. Find the airport within five guesses, then try the other mode.

Tips

  • A national flag carrier usually points to its home hub; a low-cost carrier could be almost anywhere.
  • Use a central airport for your first guess so the distance and direction are most useful.
  • Small flight counts suggest a secondary airport rather than a big hub.
  • Play both modes: they share the day's slot and each keeps its own streak.
