Livery on the FlightQ app: Know that airline? A red, white and grey tail fin above a Which airline is it? box and six guess markers

Livery starts with a pie chart of the colours on an airline's tail fin, in their true proportions. Each wrong guess rearranges the same coloured pixels a little closer to the real design. Name the airline within six guesses, in Easy, Medium, Hard or the Historic tab of classic paint schemes.

About Livery (FlightQ)

Livery is FlightQ's daily airline-recognition game. An airline's livery is its paint scheme, and the game hides one tail at a time. The opening clue is a pie chart showing how much of the fin each colour covers. A wrong guess never changes the amounts of each colour; it only rearranges them, so the stripes, curves and emblems of the real tail come slowly into focus. Even the sixth clue stays soft, and the crisp tail appears when the round ends.

You search by airline name, two-letter IATA code or country, and a guess counts only when you pick a suggestion. There are four daily puzzles, Easy, Medium, Hard and Historic, each with its own airline, six guesses and saved progress, all changing at midnight Eastern. Historic uses classic schemes and former airlines from a collection of 60 designs.

Results share as a colour row and guess trail without naming the airline, and correct daily answers earn XP in FlightQ's shared progression. Unlimited adds current, alternate and cargo designs for practice. The game is free with ads on the web and in the FlightQ apps.

How to play Livery (FlightQ)

  1. Open Livery on flightq.app and pick Easy, Medium, Hard or Historic.
  2. Read the colour chart: how much of the tail each colour covers.
  3. Type an airline name, IATA code or country and select a suggestion to guess.
  4. After a miss, look at how the same colours have rearranged toward the real design.
  5. Name the airline within six guesses, then view the full aircraft.

Tips

  • Start from the largest colour and its contrast colour: many carriers are known by one pair.
  • Watch for the direction of stripes and any curved emblem as the tail sharpens.
  • Search by country when you know the region but not the carrier.
  • Try Historic for classic schemes you may remember from older photos.
