Ahamora Today, one small run: the share card for the daily five

Ahamora Daily Five is a short daily round from the Ahamora flashcard site: five cards on one theme, the same for everyone. You read each clue, bring the answer to mind, then flip the card to see it with a little extra context and a link to its source. There is no timer, and every earlier day is in the archive.

About Ahamora Daily Five

Ahamora is a free flashcard site for curious people, with a library of editorial cards on science, history, geography, art, language and nature. The daily five is its front door. Each day has a number and a theme: number 275, on 2 October 2026, was Locks and Keys, with clues about the pin tumbler lock, two-factor authentication and combination locks. Earlier days covered Greek and Roman mythology, idioms, country ISO codes and fashion.

Every card is a clue rather than a question with options. You think of the answer, or type it in Test mode, then tap to flip. The back gives the answer, a short note and a link to the reference it came from, so a wrong guess still teaches you something. A row of five markers shows how many you have discovered so far.

There is no timer and no score to beat, which sets it apart from most daily quizzes. It suits players who want a calm few minutes of learning rather than a race. The archive keeps every numbered set open, so you can go back to days you missed.

Progress stays in your browser; there is no account to make. Outside the daily five, the library lets you study whole decks with spaced review, and discovery trails link a few cards around one idea.

How to play Ahamora Daily Five

  1. Open Ahamora's Today page to see the day's number and theme.
  2. Read the clue on the first card and think of the answer, or type it if you use Test mode.
  3. Tap the card to flip it and read the answer, the extra note and its source.
  4. Move through all five cards; the markers at the top count what you have discovered.
  5. Visit the archive to play any earlier day's five.

Tips

  • Say your answer out loud or type it before flipping; it is easy to fool yourself otherwise.
  • The theme at the top narrows the field, so read it before the first card.
  • Open the source link on a card that surprised you; the note on the back is only a start.
  • Clearing your browser storage removes your progress, so use the export in My Ahas if you want to keep it.
