100 of Us day 3: the question 'Of 100 people in the world, how many live in Africa?' above a grid of 100 grey figures and a counter at 0

100 of Us asks one question a day about the world's people: of 100 people on Earth, how many live in Africa, for example. You press and hold to count figures up to your guess, lock it in, and see the real number with its source. It is free, takes about a minute and needs no account.

About 100 of Us

100 of Us is one of the small daily games on Logicers, a site that publishes a handful of one-minute games about the real world, each with a new round at midnight. This one shrinks the world to 100 people and asks how many of them fit a fact.

The screen shows a block of 100 grey figures and the day's question. You press and hold, and the figures fill in one at a time; let go at your guess, hold again to add more, or tap Redo to start over. When you lock it in, the game shows the real number, how far off you were, and a link to where the figure comes from.

The numbers come from the World Bank's open data (World Development Indicators), rounded to whole people. Each fact you play becomes a stamp in an album kept in your browser, along with your streak, days played and average miss. Yesterday's question can be replayed in Practice, which does not count for the streak.

It suits players who like quick estimation games and want to come away with one true fact about the world each day.
