Angledle is a daily angle-guessing game in the Wordle mould. It shows two rays and asks for the exact angle between them in whole degrees, anywhere from 1 to 359. Each guess gets a temperature hint and an arrow, and you have six tries.

About Angledle

Angledle turns reading an angle into a six-guess daily puzzle. The picture shows two rays from a point, and the answer can be any whole number of degrees from 1 to 359, so reflex angles beyond 180 are part of the game. That is where many players go wrong: a wide angle near the half-turn is easy to undershoot, and a narrow one easy to overshoot.

Each guess returns a temperature and an arrow. So close means within 5 degrees, hot within 15, warm within 30 and cold anything beyond, and the arrow says whether to go up or down. Used together they roughly halve the range that is left with each guess. Six misses reveal the answer and reset your streak.

A new angle arrives every morning at 6 AM local time. Stats and streaks are kept in the browser with no account, the share button gives a grid of temperatures without the numbers, and there is an unlimited mode and an archive of past days. The site also has guides to angle types and estimation, and is available in ten languages.

It suits players who want a one-minute number game, and teachers or students who like a daily nudge to estimate angles by eye.

How to play Angledle

  1. Open Angledle and look at the two rays.
  2. Type a whole number of degrees from 1 to 359.
  3. Read the temperature (so close, hot, warm, cold) and the up or down arrow.
  4. Narrow the range and guess again, up to six times.
  5. Share the spoiler-free result grid.

Tips

  • Decide first whether the angle is under or over 180 degrees.
  • Use 90, 180 and 270 as landmarks and estimate from the nearest one.
  • Hot means within 15 degrees: move in small steps from there.
  • Practise in unlimited mode if you keep undershooting obtuse angles.
