Amountle

Watch objects pour into a jar and guess how many, five times a day.

Every day: A new set of five pours a day, the same for everyone: watch objects fall into a container and estimate how many there are, scored on how close you get. New puzzle: Midnight in your own time zone (the game picks the day from your local date).

Amountle: blue gems pouring into a glass jar

Amountle is a daily estimation game. In each of five rounds you watch a pour of objects such as gems or balls fill a container, then guess the count. Your score depends on how close you get, and you can compare it with everyone else's on the day's leaderboard.

About Amountle

Amountle tests the kind of judgement used in guess-the-jellybeans contests. Each round shows a short animation: shapes such as spheres, boxes, cones or eggs pour into a glass jar or similar container. When the pour stops you type how many you think are inside. The game then shows the true count and how far off you were.

A day's puzzle is five rounds, the same for every player, and your result is summed across them, with a perfect guess shown as exact. The shapes, sizes and amounts change from round to round, so a dense pile of small spheres plays very differently from a few large boxes.

Around the daily there is more to do. You can catch up on yesterday's puzzle, play older days in the archive, and keep a streak, with freezes to cover a missed day. Other modes include over or under, fill to a target number, survival until you miss and an untimed practice, as well as a duel to send to a friend and a leaderboard for each day. The game is free with no ads, and an optional one-time purchase adds extras that do not affect scores.

It suits players who like Wordle-length daily games with numbers rather than words, and anyone who enjoys sharpening a sense of quantity.

Tips

  • Count one layer or one row, then multiply by how many layers you see.
  • Big objects leave more empty space between them than small ones; adjust down for them.
  • Watch the pour speed: a steady stream over a long time means a larger number.
  • Use practice mode to calibrate on shapes you tend to miss.
