Estimate Me puzzle for October 2, 2026: a photo of caramel popcorn in a blue flowered mug, with a number pad for three guesses

Estimate Me is the jar-of-sweets guessing game as a daily puzzle. Each day there is a new photo of real objects, such as caramel popcorn in a mug, and a question about how many there are; you have three guesses to get as close as you can.

About Estimate Me

Estimate Me is a daily game by aukspot, who also curates The DLES, a large directory of daily games. It takes the classic fairground challenge of guessing how many sweets are in a jar and makes a fresh one every day, built by hand with real objects and real photographs.

Each puzzle asks a single question, for example how many pieces of caramel popcorn are in a mug, and shows one or more photos from different angles, which you can enlarge. You type a number on the keypad and submit; you have three guesses, and the game tells you how close you came.

Each dated puzzle is the same for every player, and earlier days are in the archive. Players can also send in their own puzzle ideas.

It suits anyone who likes Fermi-style reasoning or simply wants a one-minute daily guess with a satisfying reveal.

How to play Estimate Me

  1. Open Estimate Me to see today's question and photos.
  2. Look at each photo; enlarge them to count a sample.
  3. Type your estimate on the keypad and submit.
  4. Adjust with your remaining guesses, three in all.
