Far Out
Three estimation questions; every unit you are off comes out of your 100 points.
Every day: Three estimation questions a day, scheduled by date and the same for everyone, with daily statistics on how all players scored. New puzzle: Once a day, by calendar date.

Far Out is a short daily estimation quiz. You start with 100 points and answer three questions with numbers, such as how many teeth an adult dog has, and the difference between each guess and the real answer is taken off your score. Hit zero and you finish with nothing.
About Far Out
Far Out, created by James Allison, keeps things small: three questions a day, each asking for a number. You type your estimate, the game shows the correct answer, and the gap between the two is deducted from a starting score of 100. If your score reaches zero you still finish the quiz, but your final score stays at zero.
That simple rule makes the scale of each question matter. Being off by five on a small number is costly, so the quiz rewards careful reasoning on questions where the answer could be anything from single digits to hundreds. Questions often come with a picture.
The quiz is scheduled by date and is the same for every player, and after finishing you can see the day's player count and average score. It suits players who like quick numeric trivia and want a three-question habit.
How to play Far Out
- Press Let's Go to start today's quiz with 100 points.
- Read the first question and type a number.
- See the correct answer; the difference is taken off your score.
- Answer the second and third questions the same way.
- See your final score and compare it with the day's average.
Tips
- Think about the likely size of the answer before guessing; a wild number can wipe out your points.
- For counting questions, reason from something you know, such as human teeth or a standard set.
- When unsure, guess toward the middle of the plausible range.
- Remember that every unit counts, so small answers deserve care.
