Estimatle
Five numerical questions a day: slide to your best estimate.
Every day: Five numerical questions a day, the same for everyone; after each estimate you see the correct answer, your score and how other players guessed. New puzzle: Once a day, by calendar date.

Estimatle is a daily estimation game with five numerical questions. You move a slider to your best guess, submit, and see the real answer, your score and a spread of other players' guesses. Each question is worth up to 100 points, minus one for every step you are off.
About Estimatle
Estimatle asks five questions a day whose answers are numbers: how far, how many, how heavy and so on. Instead of typing, you drag a slider or use the step buttons and arrow keys to set your estimate. Every answer comes with a source.
Scoring is simple. Each question is worth up to 100 points, and you lose one point for every step between your estimate and the correct answer, so ten steps off is 90 points and fifty steps off is 50. After each submission you see the correct figure and how other players guessed, which turns a lone guess into a comparison with the crowd.
An anonymous account is created on your first play to store scores and your streak on that device, and you can sign in with Google to carry them across devices. You can switch between metric and US units at any time. It suits players who like reasoning their way to a number more than recalling a fact.

Tips
- Break the question into parts you can estimate, then multiply; that is usually closer than a gut guess.
- Set your preferred units before you start so the numbers feel familiar.
- Look at where other players landed after each question to calibrate the next one.
- Read the source after each answer; similar questions come back in new forms.
