Off By
Five quick guesses a day about the numbers behind real life, and how far off you were.
Every day: Five fresh questions about real-world numbers every day, resetting at midnight, with a leaderboard for players of today's five. New puzzle: At midnight.

Off By is a daily estimation game with five questions about real-world numbers, from taxes and prices to screen time and sport. You drag a slider to your best guess, see how far off you were, and read the real figure and a short fact behind it.
About Off By
Off By is a daily numbers game from Off By LLC, on the web and as an app for iPhone and Android since 2026. Each day brings five quick questions about the real world: how much of a paycheck goes to taxes, how many hours a week people spend scrolling, how many out of 100 US prescriptions are generic. You will not know the exact number, and that is the point.
You answer by dragging a slider, tapping the arrows or typing a number, then lock in. The game shows how far off you were, reveals the real figure and adds a did-you-know fact. Topics range across money and prices, jobs and AI, health and food, sports and pop culture.
The five questions reset at midnight, a round takes under two minutes, and you can build a streak. Playing today's five puts you on the daily leaderboard, and results can be shared as image cards.
It suits people who like Fermi-style guessing and want a small, surprising fact or two each morning.

- For out-of-100 questions, think about whether the answer is likely above or below half before fine-tuning.
