PassportQ No. 188, Oct 5, 2026: a passport page with stamped clues 84°F / 29°C and population 10M+, four locked clues and an entry box asking Where in the world?

PassportQ shows the day's high temperature and population size of a mystery city, stamped on a passport page, and gives you five guesses to name it. Each wrong guess shows the distance and direction to the answer and unlocks another clue: elevation, local time, landscape and top airlines.

About PassportQ (FlightQ)

PassportQ is a FlightQ daily styled as a passport, with clue stamps on one page and entry attempts on the other. The first two clues are the city's high temperature for the day, such as 84°F / 29°C, and a broad population tier, such as 10M+, which narrow the climate and the scale at once.

You type any city; autocomplete handles alternate names, accents and common misspellings. A wrong guess shows the great-circle distance and compass direction to the answer and stamps the next clue: elevation, then local time, then landscape, then the top airlines serving it. Most players solve it in three or four. Harder days lean on second-tier cities like Lyon, Porto, Ljubljana or Kaohsiung.

The puzzle is numbered and changes at midnight Eastern, the same for everyone, and keeps a streak. It needs no sign-up and runs on the web and in the FlightQ apps, free with ads.

How to play PassportQ (FlightQ)

  1. Open PassportQ on flightq.app and read the temperature and population clues.
  2. Type a city and press Stamp it.
  3. Use the distance and direction to the answer that come back after a miss.
  4. Read the newly unlocked clue: elevation, local time, landscape, then top airlines.
  5. Name the city within five guesses to keep your streak.

Tips

  • Combine temperature with the date: a hot day in October rules out much of the northern hemisphere's cooler cities.
  • Guess a big, central city first to get a useful distance and direction.
  • Local time narrows the longitude band sharply once it unlocks.
  • Top airlines usually point to the national carrier's country.
