WorldPlay (Sporcle)
Fly from city to city, gathering clues, until you land on the day's mystery city.
Every day: One numbered mystery city a day, the same for every player: fly from city to city, and each one you visit reveals clues about the destination's name or location. New puzzle: Once a day; the site does not state the time.

WorldPlay is Sporcle's daily city hunt. You name cities to fly to, and each stop may reveal a clue about the mystery destination, such as how many letters its name has or where it lies. The aim is to reach it with as few and as short flights as you can.
About WorldPlay (Sporcle)
WorldPlay is one of Sporcle's daily games, edited by Bill Henderson and Emily Ogle. Each puzzle is numbered and dated; number 39 fell on 2 October 2026, and an archive keeps earlier ones.
There is one mystery city a day. You type the name of any city and fly there, and the visit may reveal a clue about the destination: something about its name, such as having fewer than seven letters, or about where it is. If your choice tells you nothing new, you learn that too. Typing a country name lists its cities to choose from.
The score is about efficiency. You try to reach the destination with the fewest flights and the shortest total distance, so each guess should cut down the map and the alphabet at the same time.
It suits players of Worldle or Travle who want a puzzle that mixes place names with map sense. It is free on the web with ads, which a Sporcle subscription removes.
How to play WorldPlay (Sporcle)
- Open the day's WorldPlay on sporcle.com.
- Type the name of a city, or a country to list its cities, and fly there.
- Read the clue the visit reveals about the destination's name or location.
- Choose your next city to narrow down both the name and the region.
- Land on the mystery city with as few and as short flights as you can.
Tips
- Early on, pick large cities in different regions to learn the most per flight.
- Watch the name clues as closely as the map: letter counts rule out many cities at once.
- Short hops near the end keep your total distance low.
