Dialed Color2's share card: Morty from Rick and Morty in a pink shirt with the caption Morty has a pink shirt?, beside the question Can you remember these pop-culture colors?

Dialed Color2 shows you familiar cartoon characters and logos with one colour region wrong, and you fix it from memory with hue, saturation and brightness sliders. Each round scores up to 10 points for how close you get, out of 50 in all. The daily challenge gives everyone the same five regions and one attempt.

About Dialed Color2

Color2 is one of the short memory games on Dialed, listed in its menu as color-toon. Where Dialed's original Color game flashes a plain colour and asks you to rebuild it, Color2 asks you to remember colours you already know: Morty's shirt, a cartoon's skin tone, the red of a brand logo. Each round shows the picture with one region painted wrong, and you dial in the shade you think it really is.

You work with three sliders for hue, saturation and brightness, so you need no colour codes. The game measures how far your colour is from the real one and gives up to 10 points a round, for a total out of 50 over five rounds. Easy, Hard and Brutal settings change the difficulty for free play.

The daily challenge gives every player the same five regions that day. You get one attempt, then you can share your score and see where it sits on the daily leaderboard. Outside the daily you can play solo as often as you like, send a challenge link that gives friends the same rounds, or host a live round with a shared timer.

It is free in the browser on phones and computers with no sign-up. It suits people who think they know their cartoons and logos by colour, and players of colour memory games who want a set of targets they have seen before.

How to play Dialed Color2

  1. Open Color2 on Dialed and choose today's daily challenge.
  2. Look at the character or logo and find the region shown in the wrong colour.
  3. Move the hue, saturation and brightness sliders until the region matches the colour you remember.
  4. Lock in your answer to see how close you were, scored out of 10.
  5. Play all five rounds for a score out of 50, then compare it on the daily leaderboard.

Tips

  • Settle the hue first, then adjust brightness and saturation; a near hue with the wrong brightness still loses points.
  • Cartoon colours are often more saturated than you remember, so try pushing saturation up.
  • Brand colours are fixed and widely seen: think of the logo on a sign or package you know well.
