Flag Fill #111: the flag of Germany with its middle stripe blanked as a grey checkerboard, above a colour picker, hex field and Submit guess button

Flag Fill is a one-minute daily flag game. Each day shows a named country's flag with one section left blank, and you use a colour picker to choose the colour you think belongs there. Your score from 0 to 100 shows how close you came.

About Flag Fill

Flag Fill started on 15 June 2026 and numbers its puzzles; 3 October 2026 was #111. The puzzle names the country, so the question is not which flag it is but exactly what colour the missing part is: the precise yellow, red or blue that the flag uses.

The missing section shows as a grey checkerboard. Below the flag sits a colour picker with a saturation square, a hue slider, a hex field and a row of quick swatches. Choose your colour and submit, and the game shows your guess beside the real colour and a score out of 100.

One guess is all you get. The game keeps your streak, average score and score distribution on your device, and an archive lets you play flags you missed, without affecting your stats. It is free in the browser.

It suits players who like colour games such as Hueman or The Daily Hue and know their flags, since knowing a flag has a blue stripe is only half the answer.

How to play Flag Fill

  1. Open today's flag; the country is named and one section is blank.
  2. Use the colour picker, hue slider, hex field or swatches to choose the missing colour.
  3. Press Submit guess; you have one try.
  4. See your colour beside the real one and your score out of 100.
  5. Share your score, or play missed flags from the archive.

Tips

  • Think about the exact shade: flags often use a darker or warmer version of a colour than you expect.
  • Look at the colours already shown; a flag's palette is usually consistent in brightness.
  • If you know a flag's hex code, type it into the hex field.
  • Practise with the archive before your daily attempt.
