Every day: One numbered hidden five-letter word a day for everyone (Daily Word #278 on Mon, Oct 5), to find in six tries with green, orange and grey letters. New puzzle: Once a day, with each word numbered and dated.

WordCue is Linerko's daily five-letter word game. You have six tries to find the hidden word, and each letter of a guess turns green if it is right, orange if it belongs elsewhere and grey if it is not in the word. It is free, with no account.
About WordCue
WordCue follows the classic format. Each day brings a new numbered hidden word of five letters. You type a guess on your keyboard or tap the on-screen letters, then press Enter or Go. Every letter is marked: green for the correct letter in the right spot, orange for a letter in the word but in the wrong spot, and grey for a letter not in the word. The keyboard keeps track of what you have learned.
Guesses must be real words from the game's dictionary, and invalid entries are not accepted, so a typo never costs you a try. Solving the day's word keeps your streak going, and a share button posts your result as a spoiler-free grid of coloured squares.
WordCue is one of the daily games on Linerko, a free site that also runs daily geography, number, logic, grouping and visual puzzles, all without an account or download. The site is supported by tips through Ko-fi.
How to play WordCue
- Open WordCue on linerko.com.

Tips
- Open with a word that has several common letters, such as E, A, R, S and T.
