Trekle
Rate itWordle for Star Trek fans: guess the day's five-letter Trek word in six tries.
Every day: One Star Trek themed five-letter word a day, the same for everyone, to guess in six tries; the words get harder through the week from Sunday. New puzzle: Midnight local time.

Trekle is a Star Trek take on Wordle. Each day there is one five-letter word from the Trek universe, such as a character's name, a species or a piece of starship jargon, to find in six guesses with coloured tiles. Words start easier on Sunday and get harder through the week.
About Trekle
Trekle, subtitled The Next Generation in its logo with a Vulcan salute over the K, plays exactly like Wordle. You type a five-letter word, press Enter, and each tile turns to show whether its letter is in the word and in the right spot, in the word but elsewhere, or not in it at all. You have six rows to find the answer.
The difference is the answer list. The day's word comes from Star Trek: names of characters and people from the shows, alien words and places, and the technical vocabulary of the bridge, mixed with ordinary words that belong in a Trek script. The game says words increase in difficulty through the week starting on Sunday, with common words earlier in the week, so a Saturday answer can be a deep cut. Ordinary English words are accepted as guesses.
The word changes at midnight on your own device's clock. The page links to a Star Trek Discord community and has a dark mode. It suits Trek fans who already play Wordle and want a themed word to start the day.
How to play Trekle
- Open treklegame.com and type a five-letter word with the on-screen or your own keyboard.
- Press Enter to submit the guess.
- Read the tiles: one colour for a letter in the right spot, another for a letter in the word but elsewhere, grey for a letter not in the word.
- Use what you learn to make your next guess, up to six tries.
- Come back tomorrow for a new Trek word.
Tips
- Think in Trek: character surnames, species and ship terms are common answers.
- Open with an ordinary word rich in vowels to find the letters quickly, then switch to Trek names.
- Expect easier words early in the week and harder ones toward Saturday.
- Remember that Klingon and other alien words do not follow English spelling patterns.
