Canuckle
Wordle with a Canadian answer: six tries at a five-letter word about Canada.
Every day: One Canada-themed five-letter word a day, the same for every player, to guess in six tries, with a fun fact about the answer afterwards. New puzzle: Once a day; the site does not state the time.

Canuckle is a daily Canadian take on Wordle. You have six tries to find a five-letter word, and the answer is always tied to Canada: a place, a word or a Canadianism. Correct letters in the right place turn red rather than green, and a fun fact about the word appears when you finish.
About Canuckle
Canuckle follows the Wordle routine with a Canadian twist. There is one hidden five-letter word a day, the same for everyone, and you have six guesses. Every guess must be a valid five-letter word. After each one the tiles change colour: red for a letter in the right spot, in place of Wordle's green, yellow for a letter that is in the word but elsewhere, and grey for a letter that is not in it.
The twist is in the answers. Each one is related to Canada in some way, so it may be a place, a bit of Canadian slang or another word with a Canadian link. Once you finish, win or lose, the game shows a short fun fact explaining the Canadian link, which turns the daily guess into a small piece of trivia.
The official game lives at canucklegame.ca, and its code is published on GitHub. Several other sites have copied the name, so check the address if you want the original. The site credits CIRA, the Canadian Internet Registration Authority, with a powered by logo.
Canuckle suits Wordle players who want a change of word list, and anyone who enjoys Canadian trivia.
How to play Canuckle
- Open canucklegame.ca and type any valid five-letter word.
- Press Enter to submit the guess.
- Read the colours: red means the right letter in the right place, yellow means the letter is in the word elsewhere, grey means it is not in the word.
- Use the clues, and the Canadian theme, to choose your next guess.
- Find the word within six tries, then read the fun fact about it.
Tips
- Think Canadian early: place names and Canadianisms are fair game as answers.
- Open with a word full of common letters to find the vowels quickly.
- Remember red, not green, marks a correct letter in the right place.
- A repeated letter only lights up as many times as it appears in the answer.
