WordSlip
Unscramble seven letters on a hex grid, then trace a path through every cell that spells the word.

WordSlip scatters the seven letters of a hidden word across a 19-cell hexagonal grid. You work out the word and drag one path through every cell so the letters come out in order. After each full guess, letters in the right position lock in green, so you can close in on the answer step by step.
About WordSlip
WordSlip is a daily word puzzle on DailyPlay, the puzzle site run by the Danish company GreatGamesNetwork ApS, which also hosts daily sudoku, mahjong, solitaire and mini crosswords. Everyone gets the same grid each day, and the site has no ads.
The board is a cluster of 19 hexagons. Seven of them hold letters and the other twelve are blank. Your trace has to start and end on a letter and pass through all 19 cells, so the blanks act as bridges between letters that are far apart. As you cross a letter, it drops into the row of tiles at the top in the order you visited it.
That makes WordSlip two puzzles at once: an anagram, and a route through the grid. Even when you know the word, the path can be awkward, since edge cells have few neighbours and you cannot cross a cell twice. Each complete guess locks any correctly placed letters in green, which keeps the game moving when the anagram does not come straight away.
There is no timer and no limit on attempts, and past puzzles are kept in a calendar. It suits players who like anagram puzzles and path games such as Strands or Squaredle, and want something short each day.
How to play WordSlip
- Look at the seven letters scattered across the hexagonal grid and try to find the word they spell.
- Press on a letter cell and drag to neighbouring cells to start a path.
- Pass through every one of the 19 cells, using the blank cells to link letters, and finish on a letter cell.
- Check the result: letters in the correct position lock in green and stay for your next try.
- Rearrange the remaining letters and trace again until the whole word is green.
Tips
- If the word does not come at once, make a full guess anyway; the green letters give you anchors.
- Plan the route before dragging, starting with letters on the outer edge, since they have the fewest ways in and out.
- Use chains of blank cells to connect letters that sit on opposite sides of the grid.
- If you know the word but cannot find a path, try tracing it from the other end of the grid.
- There is no clock, so it pays to sketch the path in your head first.
