Quad Words
Rate itSolve four hidden five-letter words at once in nine guesses, a new set each day.
Every day: A fresh four-word puzzle every day: four hidden five-letter words to find at once in nine guesses, with a streak, beside unlimited practice games. New puzzle: Once a day; the game does not say at what hour.

Quad Words is a Quordle-style word game for iPhone, iPad and Mac: every guess goes on four boards at once, and you have nine tries to find all four five-letter words. A fresh puzzle comes each day, with streaks and unlimited practice, free with ads.
About Quad Words
Quad Words is made by Aryan Chaurasia, an independent developer, and has been on the App Store since April 2022. It takes the Wordle rules and multiplies them by four, the way Quordle does: there are four hidden five-letter words, and each word you type is entered on all four boards at the same time.
The tiles colour separately on each board, green for a right letter in the right place, yellow for a right letter in the wrong place and grey for a letter that is not there. With nine guesses for four words, the early guesses are best spent gathering letters, and the later ones on finishing each board in turn. A fresh puzzle comes every day, and a practice mode lets you play as many extra games as you like.
Newer versions surround the main game with more: a Daily Mix of small word, sudoku, word search, crossword and spelling bee puzzles, puzzles you can make and send to friends, a multiplayer mode, home and lock screen widgets for your streak and Siri shortcuts. It plays offline and needs no account.
The free version shows ads; Premium removes them and adds a few extras. It suits Wordle players who want a longer daily puzzle on their phone without opening a browser.
How to play Quad Words
- Open the Daily tab to start the day's puzzle.
- Type any valid five-letter word; it appears on all four boards at once.
- Read the colours on each board: green is the right letter in the right spot, yellow the right letter elsewhere, grey not in that word.
- Use what you learn to solve each board, ideally one at a time once you have enough letters.
- Find all four words within nine guesses to keep your streak.

Tips
- Spend your first two or three guesses on words with different common letters, then start solving.
- Finish the board you know most about first: the words it rules out help the others.
- Keep track of grey letters separately for each board, since a letter missing from one may be in another.
