Word-leh!
Rate itWordle with a Singlish answer: find the day's lah-worthy five-letter word in six tries.
Every day: One Singlish five-letter word of the day, the same for every player, to find in six guesses; English words are accepted as guesses. A separate six-letter version has its own daily word. New puzzle: Midnight, your local time.

Word-leh! is a Singlish take on Wordle. You have six tries to find a five-letter word of the day, guessing with any English or Singlish word and reading green, yellow and grey tiles, but the answer is always Singlish, such as shiok, bojio or makan. A six-letter version runs beside it.
About Word-leh!
Word-leh! is a word-guessing game made in Singapore and running since early 2022. It plays exactly like Wordle: a grid of six rows of five tiles and an on-screen keyboard. Type a five-letter word and press Enter; a tile turns green when the letter is in the right spot, yellow when it is in the word but elsewhere, and grey when it is not in the word at all.
The twist is the answer. Guesses can be ordinary English words, which helps you test letters, but the word of the day is always Singlish, the English-based creole spoken in Singapore: past answers have included makan, bojio and shiok. After you finish, the game shows a playful line using the day's word, so non-Singaporeans pick up the meaning as they go.
Everyone gets the same word on the same day, chosen from the date, and it changes at midnight. A stats screen tracks your results, and there are light and dark themes. A ribbon on the corner leads to a six-letter edition with a longer daily word. The maker, @shamayn, invites players to suggest missing Singlish words.
It suits Wordle players who want a change of vocabulary, Singaporeans abroad, and anyone curious about Singlish.
How to play Word-leh!
- Open Word-leh! and type any five-letter English or Singlish word.

- Use the clues to narrow down the Singlish answer.
- Find the word within six guesses.
- Try the six-letter edition from the corner ribbon for a second puzzle.

Tips
- Open with a common English word to test vowels; the answer will still be Singlish.
- Singlish words often borrow from Malay and Hokkien, so letter pairs like KH, NG and AH turn up.
- Do not rule out letters that are rare in English: Singlish answers such as kapok or katek use them freely.
- Read the line shown after each game to learn the word for next time.
