Wordle Global in Basque (euskara), daily puzzle #1932: the empty six-row board and a keyboard with Ñ

Wordle Global runs the daily five-letter word game in about 90 languages on one site. Each language has its own word of the day, shared by everyone who plays in it, and you get six tries with green, yellow and grey tiles. It also has unlimited play, multi-board modes and a run of other daily puzzles.

About Wordle Global

Wordle Global went live on 12 January 2022 with the aim of bringing the daily word game to every language, not just English. Its about page says it now covers more than 90 languages, each with a word list kept by volunteer native speakers, and that the original code was published under the MIT licence on GitHub before development moved to a private repository.

The daily game works as in the original: you have six tries to find a hidden five-letter word, and after each guess the tiles turn green for a letter in the right spot, yellow for a letter elsewhere in the word and grey for a letter that is not there. Every language has its own puzzle number and its own word, and the site's FAQ says the day's word is shared by everyone playing in that language. After a game you see the word's definition and an illustration, and every past word stays browsable in a per-language archive.

The language list on the home page on 3 October 2026 ran to 91 entries: Finnish, English, Arabic, Turkish, Croatian, Bulgarian, German, Hebrew, Swedish, Russian, Hungarian, Spanish, Estonian, Danish, Serbian, Romanian, Catalan, Slovak, Italian, Azerbaijani, French, Latvian, Latin, Galician, Macedonian, Ukrainian, Portuguese, Vietnamese, Polish, Armenian, Norwegian Bokmål, Slovenian, Dutch, Czech, Western Armenian, Persian, Basque, Scottish Gaelic, Irish, Korean, Georgian, Norwegian Nynorsk, Icelandic, Central Kurdish, Greek, Lithuanian, Palauan, Mongolian, Interlingua, Māori, Luxembourgish, Breton, Nepali, Esperanto, West Frisian, Low German, Klingon, Interlingue, Hindi, Bengali, Japanese, Chinese, Tamil, Telugu, Thai, Marathi, Punjabi, Kannada, Malayalam, Gujarati, Burmese, Khmer, Sinhala, Amharic, Hausa, Indonesian, Malay, Albanian, Swahili, Tagalog, Urdu, Uzbek, Yoruba, Kazakh, Turkmen, Faroese, Occitan, Friulian, Latgalian, Quenya and Kinyarwanda. Each has its own address, such as wordle.global/eu for Basque or wordle.global/sw for Swahili.

Beside the classic daily there is an unlimited mode, multi-board games from two to 32 boards, a speed mode, and other dailies such as Spelling Bee, Strands, Mathle, Chessle and a mini crossword. Play is free with no account; signing in syncs streaks and stats across devices. It suits anyone who wants the same daily Wordle in a language few other sites cover, or in several languages side by side.

How to play Wordle Global

  1. Open wordle.global and choose your language (or go straight to an address such as wordle.global/gd).
  2. Type a five-letter word in that language and press Enter.
  3. Read the tiles: green is the right letter in the right spot, yellow is in the word elsewhere, grey is not in the word.
  4. Use the clues to find the word within six tries, then read its definition and come back the next day.

Tips

  • The site ranks good starting words for each language from that language's own word list; check it before your first guess.
  • Your daily streak is counted per language, so you can keep several going at once.
  • Use Unlimited mode to practise a new language without spoiling the daily.
  • Past words are in each language's archive, which helps learners pick up common patterns.
