Werdle on Bludle: Daily 2026-10-05 with 5 tries left, an empty grid of five rows of five tiles and Daily and Practice tabs

Werdle is a Wordle-style daily word game from Bludle. You get five tries instead of six to find the shared five-letter word, and any five letters are accepted as a guess. When you solve it, the game shows the word's origin, and a Practice mode offers unlimited extra rounds.

About Werdle

Werdle keeps the familiar rules: type five letters, and each turns green if it is in the right spot, amber if it is in the word somewhere else, and grey if it is not in the answer. Two things differ. You have five tries rather than six, and guesses do not need to be real words, so you can type any combination of letters to test patterns.

The reward for solving is a short note on the word's origin, so each day ends with a bit of etymology. Stats track games played, win rate, streak and best streak, and you can share your result.

The daily word is the same for everyone and dated at the top of the board. Practice mode gives as many extra rounds as you like. Werdle is a Bludle original, one of several games on bludle.com, and is free in the browser with no sign-up; the site shows a consent notice for advertising partners.

Tips

  • Use the freedom of non-word guesses: test five common letters at once, such as E, A, R, S and T.
  • With only five tries, spend no more than two guesses on gathering letters.
  • Remember amber letters must move; do not place them in the same spot again.
  • Use Practice mode to try opening strategies before the daily.
