Weredle
Rate itWordle with a werewolf: one tile in every guess might be lying.
Every day: One five-letter word a day, the same for everyone, to find in six tries; in each guess one hidden Werewolf tile may show a false colour until you identify which tile it is. New puzzle: Midnight local time.

Weredle is an open source Wordle clone with a werewolf twist. You have six tries to find the day's five-letter word, but in each guess one Werewolf tile may give a false answer. After your first guess you click the tile you think is the Werewolf; once you find it, the lies stop and the keyboard shows the truth.
About Weredle
Weredle, pronounced like wear-dull, looks and plays like Wordle: type a five-letter word, and the tiles turn to show whether each letter is in the right spot, in the word elsewhere or not in it at all. You have six tries.
The twist is the Werewolf. In every guess one tile may, or may not, show a false colour. After your first guess you have to click a tile to guess whether it is the Werewolf. Once you have found it, no new false tiles appear, the earlier false tiles are outlined in red, and the on-screen keyboard reveals the true status of every letter you have tried. Until then you have to weigh each colour knowing one of them might be a lie, and a tile you have already cleared as not the Werewolf can be trusted.
The game is free in the browser, with one word a day that changes at midnight on your device, and a stats screen. Its about page says it is an open source fork of a Wordle clone and links to the original Wordle.
How to play Weredle
- Open weredle.netlify.app and type a five-letter word, then press Enter.
