ONE RUN draft screen for gauntlet #279: five enemy forms with their health along the top and ten cards such as Cycle, Volley, Burst and Brace to choose from

ONE RUN is a small daily card battler in the browser. Each day you draft five cards from the same pool everyone gets, then fight the same five enemy forms with them, keeping your health from fight to fight. There is one attempt, no shuffling and nothing to buy.

About ONE RUN

ONE RUN is a daily gauntlet from Bao Studios. Each day's run has a number and a name, and it starts with a draft: you see the day's cards (ten on 6 October 2026) and the five forms you will face, and choose five cards. Those five are your whole deck for all five fights; you cannot change them later.

The fights are turn-based. You get 3 energy a turn, each card can be played once a turn, and a red bar shows exactly what the form will do when you end your turn, so you can plan against it. Cards attack, block, heal or give energy and boosts. Each form punishes something: one caps every hit at 8, another denies energy, so reading the forms before you draft is most of the puzzle. After six turns on one form it enrages and hits harder each turn, so you cannot stall. Health carries over between fights, and your score rises with what you have left.

Everyone plays the same run that day, and there is only one attempt. Your result is a row of five squares: green for a form beaten without damage, yellow for a graze, red for a heavy hit and black where the run ended. Practice mode and a replay of yesterday's run let you learn the cards without spending the daily, and the Almanac keeps a record of your runs.

It suits players of deckbuilding roguelikes who want one short, fair run a day where every difference in score comes from a decision.

How to play ONE RUN

  1. Open ONE RUN and press Enter the Gauntlet.
  2. Tap each of today's five forms to see what it does, then choose five cards from the pool.
  3. Fight the forms one after another: spend your 3 energy on cards each turn, then end the turn.
  4. Watch each form's intent bar and block, heal or attack to answer it before it enrages.
  5. Clear all five with as much health as you can and share your five-square result.

Tips

  • Read every form before you draft: the counter to each one decides which cards you need.
  • Against a form that caps each hit, many small hits do more than one big one.
  • Do not draft only attacks; health carries over, so a block or heal card can save the later fights.
  • Use Practice yesterday to learn how the cards combine before your one daily attempt.

Questions

Is ONE RUN the same for everyone?

Yes. Every player gets the same cards to draft and the same five forms that day.

When does ONE RUN reset?

At midnight on your own device's clock; the page counts down to the next gauntlet.

Can I retry the daily run?

No. There is one attempt a day, but Practice mode and a replay of yesterday's run are open.

Is there any luck in it?

No shuffling or draws: each card can be played once a turn, so the run comes down to your draft and your play.
