Astrea: Six-Sided Oracles combat in Astropolis Ruins: Moonie and a Sentinel face corrupted enemies, with rolled dice in a row along the bottom

Astrea: Six-Sided Oracles is a roguelike by Little Leo Games where you build a pool of dice instead of a deck of cards and fight with purification and corruption. Its Daily Run gives everyone the same seeded challenge each day, with a set oracle, starting dice, virtues and modifiers.

About Astrea: Six-Sided Oracles

Astrea: Six-Sided Oracles is a turn-based roguelike made by Little Leo Games and published by Akupara Games. It came out on Steam in September 2023, and on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and 5 and Xbox One and Series X|S in September 2024. Instead of drawing cards, you roll dice from a pool you build during the run. There are over 350 dice, sorted into safe, balanced and risky types, and you can forge their faces to change what they do.

Combat runs on two kinds of damage. Purification hurts enemies or heals you, while corruption heals enemies or hurts you, and your health bar holds skills that only switch on once you have taken enough corruption. Enemies roll their own dice, which you can manipulate to change what they are about to do. Six oracles each play differently, helped by support Sentinels and passive Blessings picked up along the way.

The Daily Run arrived with version 1.2.0, alongside the console release. The developer describes it as every day a new seeded challenge: the game sets the oracle, the virtues, the starting dice and a handful of modifiers for that day, and those modifiers can change the rules of the run in odd ways. One of them, Goddess Showdown, only appears in dailies. On the Steam forum, players report problems from a given day's daily by its date or as a fight in today's daily, since everyone gets the same run.

The Daily Run is late-game content: it unlocks after you defeat Astrea once. There is no leaderboard for it, so the point is to beat a build you did not choose. Fixes to the mode were still coming in June 2026.

How to play Astrea: Six-Sided Oracles

  1. Beat Astrea once in a normal run to unlock the Daily Run.
  2. Start the Daily Run from the main menu and look at the day's oracle, virtues, starting dice and modifiers.
  3. Roll your dice each turn, purifying enemies and choosing when to take corruption to trigger health bar skills.
  4. Between fights, add dice, forge their faces, pick Blessings and choose events along the map.
  5. Reach and defeat the final boss; the next day brings a new seeded challenge.

Tips

  • Read the day's modifiers before the first fight: some change the rules of a whole run, and your dice choices should follow them.
  • You do not pick the oracle in a daily, so learn each oracle's health bar skills in normal runs first.
  • Watch the enemy dice: changing an enemy's roll can cancel its strongest attack.
