About O'Block: Daily Block Puzzle

O'Block is a block puzzle for iPhone by Arunavo Ray, published under the RayLabs name in 2026. Its main mode, The Daily, deals one board per calendar day, seeded so that every player in the world gets the same stones and the same pieces in the same order.

A day's game takes about two minutes. You drag pieces onto an 8x8 grid; a filled row or column clears, and back-to-back clears build a combo that multiplies your score. There is one attempt and no retries, and coins cannot buy a continue or an undo in The Daily, so every player's score means the same thing. When the board fills or the pieces run out, your score goes on a worldwide leaderboard with your own row pinned at the bottom, and your streak grows if you play every day.

The week has a shape. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday are standard boards, Wednesday starts with eight preset stones in the way, Friday is a 20-piece Sprint and Sunday a 40-piece Marathon. After the day's board you can share a result card with the board, your score and your streak.

Outside The Daily there is Classic, an endless mode where clearing lines through ink cells charges a meter that lets you swap a piece you do not want, and Journey, monthly issues of twenty built levels with target cells, a fixed queue of pieces and a hint that always shows a winning move. O'Coins, earned by clearing lines or bought, pay for undos, continues and hints in those modes.

The app has no account, no sign-up and no ads; you pick a name and an avatar and play. Its look is two colours and a serif type on a blueprint grid, blue in light mode and orange in dark mode. It suits players of Block Blast or Woodoku style games who want one fair, short round a day to compare with others.

Tips

  • Leave space for the largest pieces: a board with no room for a 3x3 or a long bar ends the attempt early.
  • Keep combos going by setting up two lines that one piece can finish together.
  • On Wednesdays plan around the eight preset stones before placing anything.
  • Use Classic to practise; the swap and coins there do not exist in The Daily.

Questions

Is O'Block free?

Yes. The app is free on iPhone with no ads. O'Coins can be bought in the app, but they cannot be spent in The Daily.

When does the daily board change?

The game's site says a new board is dealt at midnight, one per calendar day. It does not say which time zone.

Can I retry the daily board?

No. The Daily allows one attempt with no retries, continues or undos, so every score on the leaderboard was made under the same rules.

Is O'Block on Android?

Not at present. It is listed only for iPhone on the App Store.
