Every day: Three dated puzzles a day, Easy, Medium and Hard, the same for every player: a target shape on a 6x6, 7x7 or 8x8 board to fill exactly with that day's set of four to six polyomino pieces. You are scored in moves, earn up to three stars, and can share your results for the date. New puzzle: Midnight, local time.

Tessellot is a daily tile-fitting puzzle: each day brings an outlined shape and a tray of polyomino pieces to turn, flip and drop into it until it is exactly filled. There are Easy, Medium and Hard puzzles for each date, scored by the number of placements you use.
About Tessellot
Tessellot is a browser puzzle about fitting pieces together. The board shows a target shape drawn as a dashed outline of squares, and beside it a tray holds the day's pieces: small polyominoes made of three or four squares, such as L, T, S, straight and square shapes. The goal is to use every piece and fill the outline exactly.
You drag a piece onto the board, or tap it and then tap where it should go. Each piece has buttons to rotate and to mirror it, and on a keyboard R rotates and F flips. Tapping a placed piece sends it back to the tray, and an undo button and three hints help when you are stuck.
Every date has three puzzles, picked from the Easy, Medium and Hard menu at the top. On 7 October 2026 the Easy shape used four pieces on a 6x6 board, Medium five pieces on 7x7 and Hard six pieces on 8x8. The puzzles are set for each date ahead of time, so everyone sees the same shapes that day.
Your score is the number of placements, and removing and placing a piece again counts as another move, so a clean solve earns the most stars. The game keeps a streak and lets you share a summary of your three results. It is free, with no sign-up and no ads.
How to play Tessellot
- Open tessellot.com; the day's Easy puzzle loads, and the menu at the top switches to Medium or Hard.
- Drag a piece from the tray onto the outlined shape, or tap the piece and then tap the board.
- Use the rotate and flip buttons on a piece, or press R and F, to fit it.
- Tap a placed piece to return it to the tray if it is in the wrong spot.
- Fill the whole outline with every piece to finish, then try the other two difficulties.
Tips
- Plan the whole fit before placing anything: every removal and re-placement counts as an extra move.
- Start with the narrow corners and single-square nooks of the outline, where only one piece shape will fit.
- Place the awkward pieces such as S and T shapes first and keep straight pieces and the square for the gaps left over.
- Count the squares a gap leaves: a region whose size no remaining piece can make means a piece is in the wrong place.
