Level 6 of Birds Organized Neatly with a partly filled grid, a parrot placed inside and two birds waiting at the sides

Birds Organized Neatly is a small packing puzzle game from DU&I, the third in its Organized Neatly series after cats and dogs. You fit oddly shaped, hand-drawn birds into a grid until every square is covered. After 80 handcrafted levels it adds a daily puzzle, generated from the date so everyone gets the same one.

About Birds Organized Neatly

Each level of Birds Organized Neatly shows an empty grid and a handful of birds, from a stocky crow to a long parrot or a bird in flight, each taking up a different shape of squares. The job is to place every bird so the grid is filled exactly, a little like a jigsaw made of tetromino-style pieces drawn as birds. The whole game is played with the left and right mouse buttons, and there are no in-game hints.

The game comes from DU&I, who also made Cats Organized Neatly and Dogs Organized Neatly, and it was released on Steam in December 2024 with 80 handcrafted levels and 30 bird species to collect.

The daily puzzle unlocks once you finish the main levels. The developers have said that each daily is generated using the date as its seed, so everyone playing on the same day solves the same puzzle. It gives the game a reason to come back to after the campaign is done.

It suits players who like calm spatial puzzles, short sessions and a gentle hand-drawn look.

Tips

  • Place the largest or most awkward bird first, it limits where the rest can go.
  • Look at corners and narrow gaps, few shapes can fill them.
  • Use the reset button rather than undoing piece by piece when a layout is stuck.
