6 Daily Trios is the daily mode of the Trio card game on Gridgames, a pattern spotting game in the style of Set. Each day you get one table of twelve cards that hides exactly six valid Trios, and a timer counts how long you take to find them all.

About 6 Daily Trios

6 Daily Trios is part of Gridgames, a free browser site with word, logic and classic games. Trio is its take on the Set card game: every card shows one, two or three symbols that vary in colour, shape, texture and number.

Three cards make a Trio when, for each of the four properties, they are either all the same or all different. In the daily mode twelve cards are laid out and the table is built so that exactly six Trios are available. The layout is generated from the date, so all players see the same table that day.

A clock runs from your first move and wrong picks are counted as errors. When you find the sixth Trio the game shows your time, your error count and a streak, plus a countdown to the next day's table. The other Trio modes (Classic and Mini) are timed free play with random deals.

It suits players who like fast visual logic and want a short, fixed challenge they can compare with friends.

How to play 6 Daily Trios

  1. Open the daily table: twelve cards are dealt, each with one to three symbols.
  2. Pick three cards where colour, shape, texture and number are each either all the same or all different.
  3. A correct Trio is moved to your bank; a wrong pick counts as an error.
  4. Keep going until all six Trios are found, then check your time, errors and streak.

Tips

  • Fix one property first, for example look only for three cards of different colours, then check the rest.
  • Any two cards decide exactly which third card would complete a Trio; look for that card on the table.
  • Cards can belong to more than one Trio, so do not rule a card out after using it.
  • Speed matters less than avoiding errors if you want a clean result to share.

Questions

Is the daily table the same for everyone?

Yes. The layout is generated from the date, so everyone gets the same twelve cards on a given day.

How many Trios are on the table?

Always exactly six in the daily mode.

Do I need an account?

No. It plays in the browser for free without sign-up; the page shows ads.

Is it the same as Set?

It uses the same idea (four properties, all same or all different) under the name Trio.
