Trio is Nerdcube's daily Set-style puzzle. The board holds a set of shape cards, and you must find all five Trios, groups of three where each feature is either the same on all three or different on all three, to clear the board.

About Trio (Nerdcube)

Trio takes the rule of the card game Set. Each card shows shapes that vary in a few features, such as shape and colour, and three cards make a Trio when, for each feature, they are all the same or all different.

The daily board, the same for every player, hides exactly five Trios. You select three cards at a time; a valid Trio is cleared, and the puzzle ends when all five are found. Because cards can belong to more than one possible group, the trick is to spot which combinations really work.

Nerdcube Daily is a small set of daily browser puzzles: Dabble builds high-scoring words on a daily board, Carom slides pieces to a goal in the fewest moves, Inlay fills a shape with pentominoes, Trio finds groups of shapes in the style of Set, and Jumble is a timed word search on a letter grid. Each one has a new puzzle every day, the same for every player, and they are free in the browser.

It suits fans of Set and visual pattern puzzles.
