Play Kakuro
Rate itA new kakuro every day in easy, medium and hard: digits that add up to every clue.
Every day: One numbered kakuro a day in each of three difficulties, easy, medium and hard, the same for everyone (No. 643 on 5 October 2026). New puzzle: Midnight.

Play Kakuro publishes one cross-sum puzzle a day at each of three difficulties. Every white cell takes a digit from 1 to 9, every run must add up to the clue beside it, and no digit repeats within a run. Each puzzle has exactly one solution, and an archive keeps every past day playable.
About Play Kakuro
Play Kakuro is a site for the cross-sum puzzle that pairs the grid of a crossword with the logic of sudoku. Each day it publishes a numbered puzzle, number 643 on 5 October 2026, in easy, medium and hard versions. Every white cell holds a digit from 1 to 9, every run of cells has to add up to the clue in the triangle beside it, and no digit repeats within a run.
The site promises that every puzzle has exactly one solution reachable without guessing. Its own tips are the classic ones: start with forced combinations, such as a two-cell run summing to 3, which can only be 1 and 2; work the intersections, since each cell belongs to a row run and a column run; and use pencil marks for candidates. A timer runs while you solve.
The grid resets at midnight, with one puzzle per difficulty and no randomiser. The archive keeps every past puzzle, and a stats page tracks your streaks. It is free with no download or sign-up, and the site is available in English, Spanish, Japanese, German, Italian and Portuguese.

Tips
- Start with forced combinations: a two-cell run of 3 must be 1 and 2, of 4 must be 1 and 3.
- Cross-check each cell against both its row run and its column run.
- Pencil in candidates before committing, then erase them as crossings rule them out.
- Learn the forced sets for the biggest sums too: a two-cell 17 is always 8 and 9.
