Yao-Guai Hunter
A deckbuilding roguelike set in hand-painted Chinese folklore, with a daily global challenge.
Every day: Yao-Hunter's Edict: a daily global challenge, the same for all players, with ranked leaderboards. New puzzle: Once a day.

Yao-Guai Hunter is a martial fantasy deckbuilding roguelike from MyACG Studio, set in a hand-painted world drawn from Chinese folklore. You play one of four demon hunters, and its Yao-Hunter's Edict mode sets a daily global challenge with ranked leaderboards.
About Yao-Guai Hunter
Yao-Guai Hunter is by MyACG Studio and reached version 1.0 on Steam in April 2025 for Windows, after a period in Early Access. Its art looks like a living ink scroll, full of spirits, monsters and martial arts from Chinese myth.
You choose one of four hunters: Mo San, a warrior whose cursed blade grows hungrier with every cut; Chuan, a Taoist with a bamboo-fire sword and talisman-blessed bullets; A-Zi, a witch of the southern Miao tribes who commands venomous insects; and Ao Yu, a dragon descendant learning to control wind, fire, thunder and rain. Runs draw on more than 400 cards, 172 inner skills, 54 elixirs and over 100 random events, against 100-plus enemies across 20 ascending difficulty levels.
The daily mode is Yao-Hunter's Edict, described as daily global challenges with ranked leaderboards, so everyone faces the day's challenge and competes for a place. A December 2025 patch fixed a bug in which the Daily Run could lose its attributes.
There is also a co-operative Yao Hunt Tournament, a custom mode with your own seeds and rules, and Steam Workshop support for mods. It suits deckbuilder fans who want a fresh setting and a daily ranked challenge.

Tips
- Learn each hunter in normal runs first: their mechanics differ a lot.

- Elixirs and inner skills can turn a weak deck around, so do not skip them.
