Track of the Day is Trackmania's daily feature: each evening a track made by a player goes live for everyone, and you race it for the best time. The website lists every past track of the day in a calendar.
About Trackmania Track of the Day
Trackmania is Ubisoft Nadeo's arcade racing game, where you drive alone against the clock on tracks full of loops, jumps and wall rides, and other cars are only ghosts. Much of what players drive is made by other players in the built-in editor, and Track of the Day is how Nadeo puts one of those tracks in front of everyone each day.
At 19:00 Central European Time a new player-made track goes live. It comes with a new records leaderboard, and players have 24 hours to set the best time and win the day. Nadeo favours tracks that beginners and intermediate drivers can finish, with respawn points throughout and no needlessly hard sections. The trackmania.com site keeps a calendar of every Track of the Day.
The same track hosts the Cup of the Day, a knockout competition held at 19:00, when the track first appears, and again at 03:00 and 11:00. After a short qualifying session, drivers are split into divisions of 64 and the slowest are knocked out each round until one is left, earning trophies.
Trackmania itself is free with Starter Access, but Track of the Day and Cup of the Day need Club Access, a yearly subscription. On the PC, PlayStation and Xbox versions the daily suits players who like short time trials and want one new track a day to learn and improve on.
How to play Trackmania Track of the Day
- Get Club Access, which Track of the Day and Cup of the Day require.
- In Trackmania's menu, open Track of the Day and choose today's track.
- Drive it for a time: accelerate, steer and brake through the checkpoints to the finish, and respawn at the last checkpoint if you crash.
- Keep improving your run during the 24 hours to climb the day's leaderboard.
- Join the Cup of the Day at 19:00, 03:00 or 11:00 Central European Time to race the same track in a knockout.
Tips
- Watch the leading ghosts to find the line the fastest drivers take.
- Respawn at checkpoints while learning a hard section, then do full runs once it is clean.
- The 03:00 and 11:00 cups come after the track is public, so you can practise before you enter.
