Swervle is a daily racing game in the browser, described by its maker as Wordle but racing. Every day a seed builds a new track through woods, desert or highlands, and everyone races the same one. Take as many attempts as you like; your best time counts on the daily leaderboard.

About Swervle

Swervle puts one short race track online each day. The track is generated from a daily seed, so the terrain and setting change from day to day, through forest, desert or highland, while every player drives the same course. The map changes at midnight US Central Time.

You drive a small car with weighty physics, aiming to pass every checkpoint and cross the finish line as fast as you can. Grip changes with the surface, ramps can help, and the handbrake and steering decide whether you take a corner cleanly or spin out. You can retry as often as you like, and only your best time is posted to the leaderboard, which uses server-checked times. You can race other players' ghosts.

It plays in the browser with no install and no account needed to try it, and is best with a keyboard: W or the up arrow for throttle, A and D to steer, Space for the handbrake, R to recover and F to restart. A Steam version is listed as coming soon.

It suits anyone who likes short time trials and the pull of a daily leaderboard.

How to play Swervle

  1. Open Swervle and start today's race.
  2. Accelerate with W or the up arrow and steer with A and D.
  3. Use Space for the handbrake to swing through tight corners.
  4. Pass every checkpoint and cross the finish line.
  5. Press F to restart and try for a faster time; your best one goes on the leaderboard.

Tips

  • Learn the track on a slow first lap, then push on later attempts.
  • Watch the surface: grip changes, so brake earlier on loose ground.
  • Turn on ghosts to see the line faster players take.
