Daily Apex
A twenty-second time trial on a new course each day, against 140 ghosts.
Every day: One twenty-second course a day, the same for every player and seeded from the UTC date, raced against 140 ghosts; three ranked runs a day, with the best time ranked against the field and split by sector. New puzzle: Midnight UTC.

Daily Apex is a free browser time trial in which everyone races the same short course each day. You steer on a single axis, keep off the walls and take the apex of each bend, racing 140 ghost cars. Three runs count each day, and your best is ranked against everyone with a sector-by-sector breakdown.
About Daily Apex
Daily Apex strips racing down to a single input. A small arrow-shaped car runs a neon track seen from above, and you only steer left and right: lean into the apex, hold the line and stay off the walls, since every wall contact and every corner taken too hard costs speed. A run lasts about twenty seconds.
The course is generated from the date in UTC, so every player gets the same track that day and a new one tomorrow. You race against 140 ghosts, and tucking into a ghost's slipstream gives a real tow if you can hold it. Three runs a day count; the best one is ranked against the field and broken down sector by sector so you can see where the time went. Practice runs are unlimited and do not use up the three.
Streaks reward coming back each day, and you can send your ghost to a friend to race. The game is free on itch.io and plays in the browser; its page notes that it was made with AI assistance for code and graphics.
How to play Daily Apex
- Open Daily Apex on itch.io and start today's course.
- Steer left and right to take each bend on the inside line.
- Stay off the walls, which cost speed, and use a ghost's slipstream for a tow.
- Use your three ranked runs to set your best time, practising as much as you like in between.
- Check your rank and sector splits, then come back tomorrow for a new course.

Tips
- Spend a few practice runs learning the day's course before using a ranked attempt.
- A smooth wide entry into a bend is usually faster than a sharp late turn.
- Compare your sector splits with the leaders to see which corner loses you time.
