Drift Fever Track #24, level 1 of 4: a light blue car sliding through a night-time corner past rival cars, with a SUPERB drift message and the score in the corner

Drift Fever is a browser drift racer with no brake. Every day brings a new numbered road, the same for every player, where you slide through corners to build a score multiplier while three rival cars race you and a ghost of your last run drives alongside.

About Drift Fever

Drift Fever is a small arcade racing game from SnapHit Studios that runs from a single web page at driftfever.com and on itch.io. You drive a chunky low-poly car down a night road through a lit-up town, and the point is not just speed: you get sideways, hold the slide and keep a score multiplier climbing. There is no brake.

The tracks are generated fresh at local midnight and are identical for every player, so a score means the same thing for everyone that day. The daily road is numbered, starting from Track #1 on 2 August 2026, and the title screen counts down to the next one. A day starts with a short training run, which you can skip, and then the road gets harder and the corners get tighter over several levels. The developer describes it as five daily tracks.

Three rival cars race you the whole way. Pass them and they chase you down; bump them and they bump back. A ghost of your last run drives with you, so you are also racing yourself, and jumps pay out extra if you land them sideways. The game has four original music tracks.

You steer with the left and right halves of a touchscreen, by tilting your phone, or with the arrow keys or A and D, in landscape or portrait. There are no downloads, sign-ups, ads or tracking. It suits anyone who wants a quick daily arcade score to chase.

How to play Drift Fever

  1. Open driftfever.com (or the itch.io page) to load today's numbered track.
  2. Play or skip the short training run.
  3. Steer with the arrow keys or A and D, by tapping the left or right half of the screen, or by tilting your phone.
  4. Throw the car sideways into corners and hold the drift to build your multiplier; there is no brake.
  5. Race the three rivals and your ghost through each level and try to beat your score.

Tips

  • Long, unbroken slides build the multiplier, so link corners together instead of straightening up between them.
  • Land jumps sideways; straight landings do not pay the bonus.
  • Watch the rivals: bumping them invites them to bump back and can break your drift.
  • The road is the same all day, so use your ghost from the last run to see where you lost the slide.
