Three Pins
Three shared golf holes a day in your browser, with one attempt that counts.
Every day: A Daily Challenge of three golf holes, the same for everyone, with one scored attempt, a score distribution and a daily leaderboard against everyone and your friends. New puzzle: Midnight Pacific Time (the game's day is keyed to Los Angeles time in its code).

Three Pins is a free 3D golf game that runs in the browser. Each day everyone gets the same three holes and one scored attempt, which posts to a daily leaderboard as soon as you finish. Wind, elevation, lies and shot shape make each hole a small puzzle of club and power.
About Three Pins
Three Pins calls itself the daily golf game for the internet. It is a full 3D golf game in the browser, with twelve courses for free play, but its centre is the Daily Challenge: three holes, the same for every player that day, played once for a score. The round posts the moment you finish, and if you step away you can pick up where you left off.
Shots work like a slingshot. You drag back from the ball to aim and set power, shown as a share of the club's distance, then release. Before each shot you read the yardage, the wind arrow, the elevation of the pin and your lie: rough takes away power and spin, a bunker more so, and water or out of bounds costs a stroke and a replay from where you hit. You can add draw or fade, hit higher or lower, and collect power-ups by flying the ball through floating rings, such as a shot that ignores the wind or a free do-over if you find water.
After the round you see the day's score distribution and leaderboards for everyone and for friends, and a calendar tracks the days you have played. Beyond the daily there is free play over 18 holes and a party mode where friends play the same holes live in stroke play, skins, match play or an elimination race.
It suits golf fans and anyone who likes a short daily game of judgement rather than words. Playing as a guest works; an account keeps stats, unlocks and friends across devices.
How to play Three Pins
- Open Three Pins, enter a display name and start today's daily.
- Read the distance, wind, elevation and your lie before each shot, and pick a club.
- Drag back from the ball to aim and set power, add draw, fade or height if you need it, and release.
- Hole out on all three holes; your score posts as soon as you finish the third.
- Check the score distribution and the leaderboard, then come back tomorrow to keep your streak.
Tips
- Treat the power percentage as a share of the club's yardage, then adjust for wind and elevation.
- Uphill plays longer and downhill shorter; club up or down rather than forcing power.
- Avoid the rough near the green: it takes spin away, so the ball will not hold.
- Water and out of bounds mean a stroke and a replay with no safe drop, so play away from them.
- Save a Shield or Calm power-up for the hole where water or wind is most in play.
Questions
How many attempts do I get at the Daily?
One scored attempt a day. It posts as soon as you finish, and you can resume if you leave mid-round.
When does the Daily change?
At midnight Pacific Time; the game dates each Daily by Los Angeles time.
Do I need an account?
No. You can play as a guest. An account keeps your stats, unlocks and friends, which matters if you install it to the home screen on iOS.
Can I play with friends?
Yes. Party mode puts friends on the same holes in real time, and the daily leaderboard has a friends view.
Does it cost anything?
No. The site describes it as free, with no download needed.
