Golfinite is a pixel-art golf game with roguelite progression: you play generated courses, level up your skills and buy clubs, balls and special abilities between rounds. Its daily challenge puts everyone on the same course with the same starting kit, so scores on the leaderboard can be compared fairly.

About Golfinite

Golfinite is made by Pmurph Games and came out on Steam in April 2023. Each playthrough builds courses with new layouts, and you work toward becoming a golf pro through challenges and 18-hole tournaments. Along the way you gain experience to improve your drive, accuracy and ball control, and you can buy gear from Caddy's Shack: clubs with different ranges, balls that behave differently, and abilities such as redirecting the ball in mid-air or giving it an extra boost.

The daily challenge strips that progression away to level the field. Every player starts with the same set of clubs, tech, experience and abilities and plays the same course as everyone else that day, then posts a score to the leaderboard. Hazards include water, trees and swirling vortexes on the fairway.

The game has had steady updates, including Steam Deck Verified status in October 2025 and patches into September 2026. It suits players who like quick arcade golf with a bit of build-crafting and a daily score to chase.

How to play Golfinite

  1. Choose the daily challenge from the menu.
  2. Pick a club, aim and set your power on the shot meter.
  3. Use abilities such as mid-air redirects or speed boosts when a shot needs help.
  4. Play the course in as few strokes as you can, avoiding water, trees and vortexes.
  5. Post your score and compare it on the daily leaderboard.

Tips

  • Learn each club's yardage; the daily gives everyone the same set, so knowing them well is the edge.
  • Save abilities for recovery shots rather than using them on easy holes.
  • Watch the wind and slope before committing to a long drive.
  • Play a few normal runs to get a feel for the shot meter before the daily.
