Clockwork
A turn-based vault heist where time moves only when you do.
Every day: One ranked Daily Heist per UTC day, the same vault for every player and guaranteed solvable: one attempt to grab the loot and escape, ranked on a shared leaderboard. New puzzle: Midnight UTC.

Clockwork is a free turn-based heist puzzle in 3D. You are a thief crossing a guarded vault where guards walk fixed patrols and laser grids blink on a set rhythm, and the clock only moves when you move or wait. Each UTC day brings one Daily Heist, the same vault for everyone, with a single attempt and a shared leaderboard.
About Clockwork
In Clockwork nothing is random. Guards follow fixed patrol routes and laser grids switch on and off in a set rhythm, and time advances one tick each time you step or choose to wait. Waiting is a real move: you use it to let a patrol pass or a laser cycle off before slipping through the gap. A look-ahead slider lets you scrub forward in time to see where every guard and laser will be, so a vault can be planned completely before you commit.
The screen tracks your loot, a style multiplier, the clock against its limit and a few backtracks. In normal play you can restart a vault at once or ask for a new one, and loot buys items in a store and a locker.
The Daily Heist is the ranked mode. Its vault is generated the same way for every player on each UTC day and is guaranteed to be solvable, but you get one attempt only, so the look-ahead matters most here. Results go on a shared leaderboard. The maker built it as a single HTML file with Three.js and a small backend for the rankings; it plays on phones and desktops, and its page notes that AI assisted with code and graphics.
How to play Clockwork
- Open Clockwork and choose the Daily Heist.
- Drag the look-ahead slider to scout where guards and lasers will be on later turns.
- Step through the vault one tile at a time, or Wait to let patrols and lasers pass.
- Collect the loot without being seen.
- Reach the exit within the clock limit; the daily run allows one attempt.
Tips
- Plan the whole route with the look-ahead before your first step in the daily; there is no restart.
- A wait is often safer than a detour: lasers come back on a fixed beat.
- Practise on normal vaults, where restarts are free, to learn how patrol timing works.
