Thirdle
Three crossing words, six guesses, and Wordle colours with an extra purple for the wrong word.
Every day: A numbered mini crossword of three intersecting five-letter words, plus a Bonus Daily with 4, 5 and 6-letter words, the same for every player. New puzzle: At midnight.

Thirdle is a daily word puzzle where you solve a tiny crossword of three intersecting words at once. Each guess fills all three words, and coloured tiles tell you which letters are right, misplaced, or belong in a different word. You get six attempts.
About Thirdle
Thirdle mixes Wordle with a small crossword. Instead of one hidden word, the board holds three five-letter words that cross each other, and every guess has to fill all three with valid words. Two of the crossing letters are shown at the start to get you going.
The game is published by Avionista AB, the company behind the swapping puzzle Swapdle and the photo geography game TravelGuessr. Alongside the numbered Normal daily there is a Bonus Daily that mixes 4, 5 and 6-letter words, and an Unlimited mode for practice.
The feedback has four colours. Green means the letter is in the right word and the right spot, orange means it is in that word but in another spot, purple means it belongs in one of the other words, and black means it is not used anywhere (or every copy is already found). You use those hints across the three words together to fill the grid within six attempts.
The purple colour is what makes Thirdle different from running three Wordles side by side: a letter can be right but in the wrong word, so you have to think about the grid as a whole. It suits Wordle players who want a bit more to juggle, and anyone who likes small crosswords without clues.
How to play Thirdle
- Look at the two crossing letters already shown on the grid.
- Fill all three words with valid guesses and submit.
- Read the colours: green is correct, orange is in that word but misplaced, purple belongs in another word, black is not used.
- Adjust your three words using the hints and guess again.
- Solve the whole grid within six attempts, then try the Bonus Daily.

Tips
- Pay close attention to purple tiles: they tell you a letter is needed, but in one of the other two words.
- Shared crossing letters do double duty, so settling them early narrows down two words at once.
- Letters can appear more than once across the grid, so a black tile only rules out extra copies once every copy is found.
