Spectra share card: A daily puzzle, Crack the hidden color in 6 guesses, with a grid of result squares and a blue swatch with the values 1, 5 and 7

Spectra is a free daily colour deduction puzzle. The secret colour's red, green and blue channels are each a digit from 0 to 9. After every guess each channel shows green for exact, yellow for within two or black for far, with an arrow pointing higher or lower. Solve all three within six guesses.

About Spectra

Spectra applies the Wordle format to colour, but it is a logic puzzle rather than a test of your eye. The hidden colour is built from three digits, one each for red, green and blue, so there are a thousand possible colours. You pick a value from 0 to 9 for each channel with small up and down buttons, see the colour you made beside the mystery colour, and press Guess.

Each channel then reports back on its own. Green means the digit is exact, yellow means it is within two, and black means it is further off, and an arrow tells you whether the secret value is higher or lower. With careful guesses the three channels can be solved independently, so anyone can finish without a good colour sense.

A new colour arrives at midnight UTC, the same for everyone, and the game counts the days. When you solve it you get a spoiler-free emoji grid to share. There is an unlimited mode for more practice. The game has no account, no ads and no tracking; its maker, Atlas, also runs Vaultle, a daily code-cracking game.

How to play Spectra

  1. Open Spectra; today's mystery colour is shown.
  2. Set a digit from 0 to 9 for Red, Green and Blue.
  3. Press Guess and read each channel: green exact, yellow within two, black far, with an arrow for higher or lower.
  4. Adjust each channel using its own feedback.
  5. Get all three green within six guesses, then share your grid.

Tips

  • Start every channel at 5; one arrow then halves the range.
  • A yellow tile means the answer is one of at most four values on the arrow's side, so jump straight into that window.
  • Treat the three channels as three separate small puzzles; do not let the colour on screen distract you.

Questions

When does Spectra reset?

At midnight UTC, with a new colour for everyone.

Is Spectra free?

Yes, with no ads, no login and no tracking; an optional tip supports the developer.

Do I need a good eye for colour?

No. The feedback on each channel is enough to solve it by logic.
