NumCue
Rate itCrack the day's four-digit code in eight guesses from green, orange and grey digits.
Every day: One numbered four-digit code a day, the same for every player: unique digits, no leading zero, cracked in eight guesses. New puzzle: Once a day at the change of date; codes are dated and numbered by day of the year.

NumCue is Linerko's daily code-breaking puzzle. Each day hides a four-digit code with no repeated digits and no leading zero, and you have eight guesses to find it. Every digit you enter turns green if it is right and in place, orange if it is in the code elsewhere, and grey if it is not in the code.
About NumCue
NumCue is one of the free daily games on Linerko. Every day it hides a new four-digit code, numbered and dated, with two rules that narrow the search: every digit is different, and the code never starts with 0. You have eight tries.
You type a guess on the on-screen keypad or with your keyboard's number keys and press Go. Each digit is then marked green for the right digit in the right place, orange for a digit that is in the code but somewhere else, or dark grey for a digit not in the code at all. A digit already used in the current guess is disabled, so you cannot repeat one by mistake. It is the format of the classic Bulls and Cows or Mastermind, shown with Wordle-style colours.
Crack the code to keep your streak, which is kept in your browser, and share a spoiler-free grid that shows how close each guess was without revealing the digits. It is free with no sign-up, and suits players who like a short daily deduction with numbers.
How to play NumCue
- Enter four different digits, not starting with 0, using the keypad or your keyboard.
- Press Go or Enter to submit the guess.
- Read the colours: green is the right digit in the right place, orange is in the code elsewhere, dark grey is not in the code.
- Use what you learned to choose your next guess.
- Find the code within eight guesses, then share your result grid.
Tips
- Use your first two guesses on eight different digits to learn quickly which ones are in the code.
- Remember the code never starts with 0, so 0 can only be in the last three places.
- Once you know the four digits, place them by moving one orange digit at a time.
- A grey digit can be used as a filler in later guesses to test the position of others.
