LogiCue
Rate itFeed numbers to a machine, read what comes out, and crack its secret rule.
Every day: One numbered number machine a day with a secret rule, the same for every player: up to eight experiments, then three predictions to prove it. New puzzle: Once a day at the change of date; machines are dated and numbered by day of the year.

LogiCue is a daily rule-cracking puzzle from Linerko. A machine follows one secret rule each day; you feed it numbers from 0 to 999, up to eight times, and study the outputs. When you think you know the rule, you prove it by predicting three outputs it has not shown you.
About LogiCue
LogiCue turns the daily puzzle around. Instead of guessing a hidden answer from hints, you run experiments on a number machine. Each day it follows one secret rule: it might add something, shuffle your number's digits, or report a property of the number itself. The day's machine is numbered and dated, with a difficulty label, and is the same for every player.
You type any number from 0 to 999 and press Feed it, and the machine log records what came out. You have eight experiments, but you do not have to use them all: the fewer you need, the better your result. When you are ready you press I cracked it, and the machine gives you three numbers it has never shown you. Predict all three outputs correctly and you win the day; miss one and the machine wins.
There is no vocabulary or trivia involved, only observing, forming a guess and testing it, and a round takes a couple of minutes. It is free with no account, and your streak is kept in the browser. It suits players of rule-guessing games and anyone who likes number patterns.
How to play LogiCue
- Type a number from 0 to 999 and press Feed it.
- Read the output in the machine log and think about what rule could produce it.
- Choose your next numbers to test that idea; you have up to eight experiments.
- When you think you know the rule, press I cracked it.
- Predict the outputs for the three new numbers the machine shows you: all three must be right to win.
Tips
- Start with simple inputs such as 0, 1 and 10 to see whether the rule adds, multiplies or works on digits.
- Try a number with repeated digits and one with distinct digits to spot rules about digits.
- Test a number that would break your theory before pressing I cracked it.
- Use fewer experiments for a better result, but not so few that one prediction is a guess.
