Power Word-le on DM Tools

Power Word-le for Oct 6 2026: an item clue of four words, a hexagon letter keyboard, 8 guesses and an empty answer row with dashes marking the spaces

Power Word-le is a free daily word game on DM Tools, a set of tools for Dungeons & Dragons game masters. Each day's answer is the name of a spell, a monster or an item, from 4 to 22 letters and sometimes several words, and you guess it with Wordle's green, yellow and red letter feedback.

About Power Word-le (DM Tools)

Power Word-le takes Wordle and fills it with the vocabulary of Dungeons & Dragons. The top of the board shows the date, whether today's answer is a spell, a monster or an item, and how many words it has; dashes in the row mark the spaces between words.

You type any combination of letters on the hexagon keyboard and submit. Each letter turns green when it is right and in the right place, yellow when it is in the answer but somewhere else, and red when it is not in the answer. Answers run from 4 to 22 letters, and the longer the answer, the more guesses you get: a four-word item on 6 October 2026 came with eight.

The game is part of DM Tools, a one-person project that also offers an initiative tracker, 3D dice and a Dungeons section (in alpha) for running D&D sessions.

It suits Dungeons & Dragons players who know their spell lists and monster manuals and like Wordle.

How to play Power Word-le (DM Tools)

  1. Open Power Word-le on dm.tools and read today's clue: spell, monster or item, and the number of words.
  2. Type a guess the length of the answer on the letter keyboard and press Submit.
  3. Read the colours: green is the right letter in the right place, yellow is in the answer elsewhere, red is not in it.
  4. Use the clues to refine the next guess.
  5. Find the full answer before your guesses run out.

Tips

  • Use the word count and the dashes: a four-word item often has short joining words like OF or THE.
  • Spell names often share patterns, such as a caster's name at the front.
  • You can type any combination of letters, so a probing guess full of common letters is allowed.
